International trade in timber

DLH is a leading international wholesale business, supplying the building and construction industry with timber and timber products. About 74% of group revenue is handled by 13 stockholding sales subsidiaries in the principal markets in Scandinavia, Western Europe, Central Eastern Europe, the USA and Russia. The remaining 26% of the group’s revenue is created by Global Sales, which refers to sales made directly from manufacturer to customer without involving the sales subsidiaries of DLH.
The products of DLH are purchased in the largest supply regions in the world. In several of these regions, South America, West Africa, the Far East and Russia, the group has a presence in the form of its own procurement offices.
DLH is trading in tropical hardwood from South America, Africa and South East Asia as well as in temperate hardwood, primarily from Eastern Europe and North America and in sheet materials and softwood. Sheet materials, which include plywood, MDF and particle boards, are primarily purchased in Russia, South America and northern Europe.
